The CCCA 2010 National Spring Conference "Prosper in Your In-House Practice" took place on April 11 – 13 in Montréal. The conference co-chairs were François Ramsay, Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, Yellow Pages Group Co. and Jennifer Zerczy, Vice-President, Legal Services, McKesson Canada Corporation

The conference was a smash success, attracting a record-number of delegates from Québec, as well as delegates and presenters from across Canada, the United States and Europe.

The 2010 Spring program addressed the fallout from the global financial crisis and the expectation that corporate counsel must do more with fewer resources, master a variety of disciplines and play multiple roles within their organizations. The conference kicked off with a fabulous Opening Cocktail & R.V.A. Jones Award Reception, generously hosted by Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP, honouring our award winner for 2010: Daniel Desjardins, Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Bombardier Inc. Congratulations Daniel!

Our keynote speakers included Ms. Anne Giardini, President, Weyerhaeuser Company Limited; Ms. Susan Wolburgh Jenah, President and CEO, Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada; and Andrew Grenville, Chief Research Officer, Vision Critical.
