The Robert V.A. Jones Canadian Corporate Counsel Award recognizes an exceptional contribution to the development or the promotion of the Canadian Corporate counsel bar or community, including significant research or writing on related issues. The Award is administered by the Nominating and Awards Committee of the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association.

The Award will be presented annually, to not more than one person, as chosen by the CCCA Nominating and Awards Committee in its sole discretion. The Committee reserves the right to not present the Award in a given year.

ELIGIBILITY
Any current or past member of the in-house legal profession in Canada (other than a member of the current CCCA Board of Directorsor Executive of the CBA, any CBA Branch) or other individual who has made an exceptional contribution to the development or promotion of the Canadian Corporate counsel bar or community will be eligible.

DEADLINE
The deadline for the nomination is February 28, 2010

PRESENTATION
The award will be presented at an Awards Ceremony at the CCCA 2010 National Spring Conference.

TO NOMINATE AN INDIVIDUAL, PLEASE FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

1. Please provide name, address, phone and fax numbers of the nominee.
2. Please provide a summary of the reasons for the nominations.
3. The Committee requires that the nominee be advised by one of the nominators that his or her name has been put forward.
4. To assist the Committee in its selection, please ensure that you include the nominee’s curriculum vitae and supporting letters if possible.
5. Nominations require the signatures of five CCCA regular members in good standing. Please include their names, addresses, phone and fax numbers, as well as CBA/CCCA membership numbers.
