Welcome back!  The executive of the Ottawa Chapter is planning what we hope will be a great lineup of seminars for the 2008-09 season and we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible over the course of the next eight months. 

We have been very lucky over the past five years to be able to take advantage of some of the more unique venues that Ottawa has to offer to host our events including private tours of the new Ottawa airport, the new CBC facilities, and a behind the scenes tour of the home of the Ottawa Senators!  We hope to continue the trend this year with tours of the National Testing Lab of the Canadian Blood Services, and a session hosted at Canada Post’s national facility.  We very much appreciate the time and effort of our members who have hosted our events, as well as the local Ottawa bar who have also hosted and provided excellent speakers. 

While we strive to find topics and speakers of interest to the majority of our members we recognize that Ottawa is unique with its diverse community of private organizations, Crown corporations and not-for-profit organizations so we encourage you to get involved and let us know what we can do to make this year relevant for you.  Any and all ideas are welcome!

Our goal is to provide you with an opportunity to discuss topics relevant to in-house counsel in our community as well as to network with your peers and have a bit of fun.  We have a lot to offer each other as the past five years have shown!
