Saskatchewan South
Many of my colleagues over the years have asked me: Why is it important to join a local professional association like the Saskatchewan South CCCA? The answer is easy. You always reap more rewards than you input.
As well, you have ample opportunity to liaise with colleagues in both professional and social environments in addition to receiving updates on best practice that can be implemented in day-to-day corporate counsel work. It’s clearly a way to share ideas and learn from leading practitioners in our profession. It’s as simple as that. 2009 for many of us continues to be a challenging year. Now, more than ever, this is the time to network with like-minded peers to gain new insights into career advancement and opportunities. Our future series of professional development workshops and speaker presentations promises to deliver topics of significant relevance related to today’s economy and environment. Recognizing the unique needs of our members, whether working for large corporations or representing smaller firms in the region is a key priority.
As always, lawyers from local firms and within the public sector are welcome to attend our professional development functions. Please call me for further details on how to become a member of South Saskatchewan chapter CCCA.
