National Spring Conference

The CCCA National Spring Conference in Montreal, April 15-17 2012, was a great success.

Attended by approximately 200 of your colleagues and subject experts, the conference provided delegates with new perspectives, ideas and practical take-aways designed to improve efficiency and decision-making in the workplace.

The conference, sponsored by Stikeman Elliott and DLA Piper, was brimming over with professional development opportunities. From plenaries discussing corporate restructuring and the Canada – U.S. Energy and Trade Policy to 12 different workshops to fabulous speakers including Calin Rovinescu and Patricia Kosseim, our Conference Co-Chairs Gail Harding and Stéphane Lemay made sure that this conference had something for everyone.

Additionally, delegates had a chance to unwind and connect at a lovely networking reception sponsored by Blakes.

We thanked our speakers for their time, generosity and expertise by providing a donation in their name to the West Island Cancer Wellness Centre, which supports and augments traditional medical services, provides whole-person support, programs, and services for mind, body, and spirit free of charge, no matter your age, the type of cancer, or where you live.

The Robert V.A. Jones Award is also presented annually at the National Spring Conference. This award recognizes an exceptional contribution to the development or the promotion of the in-house counsel bar or community, including significant research or writing on related issues. The Award is administered by the Nominating Committee of the CCCA. This year, the winner was Robert Patzelt, Q.C. To learn more about Robert, please click here.

We extend heartfelt thanks to our sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, Co-Chairs, and the city of Montreal for making this event a fabulous experience for all.
