Despite the geographic spread across our province, in-house counsel continue to be active in the CCCA's Nova Scotia Chapter, and program participation is strong. Our partnership with the Nova Scotia CBA's Corporate Counsel Section has been very strong, and we appreciate its cooperation in coordinating our programming initiatives in and around the Greater Halifax Region.
However, we are always mindful of the needs of in-house counsel members outside the Halifax region. The feasibility of holding sessions in various locations throughout the province, as well as providing a teleconference option for those unable to travel to meetings, remains a key priority.
We highlight key CCCA member representatives as speakers at various Chapter sessions and appreciate the many Halifax-based law firms that host and/or provide speakers for events. Unique opportunities for professional development, support and meaningful relationship-building are always available to our diverse group of in-house counsel colleagues.
We are always keen to recruit new members. If you are a lawyer practising in-house or attending a law program in the province, we would like you to consider becoming involved in our Chapter. Please do not hesitate to contact me for details. If you are already an active Nova Scotia CCCA member, I encourage you to forward any programming ideas or suggestions and plan to join us!
